The Steering Committee is the organizing and managing body of the Council. Members are representatives of government agencies and associations who have signed a Letter of Agreement supporting product stewardship. Steering Committee members participate in subcommittee activities and their representative organizations provide funding and staff time to help implement NWPSC activities. Membership is limited. NWPSC Associate Members

Associate Members are local, state, regional and federal government agencies, businesses, and non-profit organizations that support the NWPSC mission and product stewardship principles. Associate Members are required to sign on to the program on behalf of their entire agency or organization. Associate Members agree to support product stewardship programs and legislation as their agency or organization allows. All Associate Members are subject to approval by the NWPSC Steering Committee. Associates have access to a NWPSC list serve discussion group and can participate in any of the subcommittee projects and programs. Individuals that would like to join the NWPSC are advised to join on as a NWPSC Community Member.

Associates receive:

  • Invitations to participate in NWPSC subcommittees
  • Access to individuals with product stewardship expertise
  • Updates about product stewardship resources, reports, legislation, policies and programs
  • A place to share information about local product stewardship activities.
